I’m planning a bathroom remodel. The bathroom will expand, taking over a closet in the hallway. Problem is, the main breaker box is located in the end wall of that closet. After the remodel, it will be inside the bathroom within a couple of feet of both the sink and toilet. Ive seen other bathrooms done this way, but not sure if that is legal.
To move it into the hallway, it would have to be turned 90 deg and moved over several inches. Just a few of the wires that already go that direction would reach , the majority would be short. If it was flipped 180 deg it would then be in the back wall of an adjacent bedroom closet. The wires would reach, but access wouldn’t be the greatest.
Any suggestions?
