Balancing loop only on the cold side?

I'm in the middle of a remodel and I figured I'd upgrade my plumbing to utilize a balancing loop something like this (from just needs paint.com). My question is, will having only one balancing loop only on the cold side of the system sufficient to balance the entire system? (i.e. is there's no need for a warm side one?)
