I am installing a 2" backwater valve on ABS drainage. The crappy kind that is cheap and has the door that hangs over the opening. I could not find anything for 2" ABS other than this? Seems like the ones I was suggested to buy are for 3 and 4". Not sure how bad this one is but I am going to give it a shot.
There are two areas I can cut into to do the install.
One is a gradual slope, another area is a steeper slope. Drops about 2" over about 2' (far from vertical, not a problem here)
My instinct says install this on the slightly steeper horizontally sloped drainage area?
Is there an ideal horizontal slope these should be installed at? I wonder what is the max slope for horizontal backwater valves? Hope that makes since?

Hey, wait a minute.

This is awkward, but...
