Backdraft damper in this Upblast Exhaust system

This came with the house and I noticed there's a huge backdraft in the kitchen. I was wondering where would the backdraft damper go in such a system? The ducts go under the deck to the house and it's all buried in the walls.

The range hood has this opening but there's no damper here

Any ideas where the damper could be and if not, where can I install one?

of course there are rect. dampers, so you'll have to decide where to best locate.
With a hood there needs to be a makeup air source.

So you're suggesting to install a rect damper behind the hood (the second pic)? Wouldn't that get clogged with grease?

Also, what's a makeup air source? It's not like the house is super air tight so the air sucked should get replaced from wherever it is getting replaced now.

I don't have pro knowledge so apologies for these stupid questions

Backdraft dampers do have to be cleaned at periodic points based, of course, on need.
Commercial hoods like you have don't really belong in a residential setting...nevertheless, make-up air is something you can look up if you need more info. because it is VITAL and you should definitely pay attention to this.

I searched online but couldn't find any gravity dampers. The opening is 6x10inch.

Any ideas where I can find one will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
