Is there a type D switch with damping control to stop short cycling on start-up? When the guage hits 35psi it will kick on, off, on, off, and on. Sometimes it cycles more, sometimes it just works right. It just seems to need slowed down on start-up. The bladder tank is about 33psi. Off is set at 55psi.

Thanks for any help and this site is great.

They do make dampening devices for pressure switches, but they tend to plug up easily.
The best solution is to move the switch sensing line away from the pump. Go from the switch to someplace by the tank. When the line is plumbed to the pump head, it's sensitive to "pressure waves".
The other solution that I've used is to install a 1/4" valve in the sensing line between the pump head and switch. This valve can be partially closed to dampen the pressure.

Thank you. I had thought of moving the switch but wasn't sure if it would matter. That's my next move.

You might want to resolve the issue that is causing the switch to cycle like that. How old is the tank and what type of material is it plumbed with? It sounds like you have a blockage between the switch and the tank.
