Atlas Filtri "Hydra" Video

I finally got a few minutes to do a quick video of the Self Cleaning Filter by Atlas Filtri. The Hydra has really impressed me. Check out the video, this is rough due to extreme time limitations but... maybe I will redo it this Summer.

What's the content that's getting filtered? Estimated flow rate in the video?

We use a resin based media for the video work. It shows well and has a relatively low specific gravity so it is hard to expel during the purge, The flow rate ranges from 5-10 gpm. The filter can easily flow at 20 GPM.

The low specific gravity shows when the purge occurs and not all of the debris is removed. The second purge removes the remainder. So far this works as well as the Lakos twist to clean but has a better pressure rating. It can also be easily modified for an automated purge cycle.
