Hi, new to refurbishing and setting up a water softener.
New 5600sxt valve ; 1gpm 3lb salt/min brine ; drain flow 7.0gpm (stickers on valve)
Tank 10x54"
30lb stone
1.5 ft3 resin 8%
Hardness test 30gpg with 0.5ppm iron
3 persons (200 gal/day)
Initial settings:
Gal
dF1b
Fd
NT: 1
C: 30
H: 32
rc: 200
DO: 14
BW: 10
BD: 60
RR: 10
BF: 15
FM: 0.7
...not sure what some of these mean, so have default
Also, not sure where 5600sxt has its flowmeter - is this internal in the valve (old one had a paddle wheel stuck inside the input but not connected to anything i could see that read it)
