Anything wrong with running a 1/4 bend into a wye?

If I remember correctly, 45 degrees is considered vertical, so it seems like I should be able to use a 1/4 bend (with a heel to vent) into a wye like this. Does this work for a WC?

Yes, your description and the related part of the picture is all fine.

But what is the elbow that is cut off at the top left corner? The dry vent has to stay vertical (at least 45 degrees above horizontal) until at least 6" above the WC flood rim. If that's a 45 to jog a different direction while rising, that's fine.

[And FWIW if you are using an upper 45 to start jogging exactly perpendicular (as seen from above) from the way the vent is jogging coming out of the low-heel 90, then both 45s could be replaced with a single 60. But double 45s let you jog in any direction.]

Cheers, Wayne

I was wondering if somebody was going to notice the vent. That's just scrap I had lying around to make the point. The main line is directly under a wall, so that first 45 will just go straight up into the wall and through the attic.
