American water heater conversion to NG

I have a brand new American DVG6250T40 301 serial number 1607A000661 I need to convert it to NG from propane. I had ordered a kit but they didn't include a new orifice and the thermocouple on the propane is a red and white wire while the purchased has the copper line. question: does anyone know of a propane to NG kit for this model or can I remove my gas valve and replace it with the NG gas valve from the NG DVG6250T47-NOV model. or will the AO Smith conversion kit be an option since their the same company.

Thank you, I called them already. question is all that is different is the orifice ? Can I just change the orifice in the burner?

Natural needs 7" incoming pressure reduced to the 3.5" burner
Lp 13" incoming 11" burner
Brand and complete model of gas valve?
How many btu is the burner rated for?

It's 40K on propane. I've attached the images but I think it answers my question it says not for NG so can I purchase the burner and gas valve for NG ?

anyone know where I can find the model number or where to purchase a gas valve for an AO Smith GDV-50

There are no conversion kits. They come from the factory configured for the gas type you need, it's not field convertible. You need to return it and get a natural gas model. The manual has very specific warnings to only use the gas listed on the rating plate, see pg.4,12, 20. If you continue with the DIY conversion you will void any warranty and quite possibly create a dangerous installation.

If you can take it back and have not taken it out of the box , then that is the best path to take...

So why did you buy a propane gas heater if you needed a natrual gas one???
