Hello,
We have an American Standard floor mount bidet, with a hot/cold handles and a control valve. When the center control valve is turned to closed, the water stops coming out of the spray nozzle, and barely drops out of the rim. This causes water to leak/drip from the rim to the overflow hole...I assume this isn't normal, because a home inspector has said the bidet leaks when the center controller is in full off.
My questions are:
What is supposed to happen when the control valve is fully closed, or closed enough to stop water from spraying out of the spray nozzle?
- Is there any reason under normal circumstances that one would use the control valve to stop all water flow out of the spray nozzle, we've always used the hot and cold handles to stop the water flow completely, and never even noticed this leak situation.
When water enters the overflow hole, is it supposed to go down the drain?
Thanks,
