American Standard faucet won't stop leaking

My cold water faucet in the bathroom sink won't stop leaking. I replaced the washer, then the entire cartridge, then the seat. What else is there to replace? I got a Danco cartridge (looks similar to below). Perhaps the off market cartridge isn't quite the same size as the original? I even tried putting a couple of small pieces of plastic between the washer and the cartridge to "extend" it a little. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Danco is garbage, you have to get OEM or a new faucet.
