Accessing Well for Disinfecting

Hey everybody,
I’m new to the forum and want to say thanks in advance for the advice. After spending hours searching the web and YouTube I’ve decided to seek advice from those with with experience. I’m trying to determine how to introduce a chlorine solution to my well for disinfecting but all well head examples I’ve seen on the web are different than my setup. What I have is a 1 hp Myers deep well jet pump bolted to what I believe is a 2” packer adapter. There is a plug on the adapter (3/4” maybe?). So the question is... do i introduce the chlorine solution through this plug or is disinfecting this type of well more complicated?

That will only disinfect the water in the pump. You need chlorine below the packer to disinfect the well. Yes very hard to chlorinate and circulate the water with a packer system.
