First post. I'm in the middle of a bathroom remodel. My house was built in the 1960's. Tonight, I removed the old sink. No valves, so I shut off the main and cut the copper pipe. Went to put on some Irwin quick connect 1/2 valves, and to my surprise they were to big. 3/8 is to small. Pinched off the pipes, and soldered them closed. Now I'm at a loss. Does anybody know if anybody makes a 7/16 to 1/2 adapter I can solder on? To rip out the old pipe will be a major undertaking, as the previous owner added a room in the basement below this bathroom, with a staircase on the other side. To access the pipe, I'll have to remove the subfloor in the bathroom, or rip out the Sheetrock in the room below. Any help is greatly appreciated.
