I have a slightly unusual water heater requirement, for a "Granny Unit", if you will. It will be a new installation, preferably under-sink as space is limited, with 240V service available at the panel. I am checking on the ampacity now, but with the installation of a ductless mini-split heat pump, it may be that not more than 20A to 30A are available. I will, of course, confirm before proceeding further.

I mention this because a 20A tankless has very limited capacity - 45F temperature rise at 0.5GPM. So probably this is an application for a small 240V tank, not the typical 2-gallon under-sink 120V "hand washing" tank fed from a real hot water heater. This application will be standalone, fed from the cold water supply.

This company has dozens of different wattages and voltages. If it is for a bathroom sink use only, a 15a 120 volt unit will provide 105 water. Look for the low flow, .2 gallon per minute before it turns on. For higher needs such as for a tub or shower, there are larger (different) units with 240 volt rating

Good link, and a USA company. Although that doesn't clearly define country of manufacture. Lots of different power ratings, as you mentioned, so you can fit within available electric service.

It is for a kitchen sink application, so a bit more demanding than bathroom lav. I think if we can supply 20A, or preferable 30A, a Chronomite will be fine.
