Would 3/8 OD 1/4 nominal soft type L copper be big enough for the last few feet of the supply through the wall to the stop valve for a lav or toilet? It seems that would be easier to fish, for galvanized replacement, than 3/8 pex. After all, the output of the stop valve is often to a 3/8 OD compression output.
I find that right angle ball stop valves with an input for 3/8 nominal ID, 1/2 OD soft type L copper seems less available.
