I can see that the 'standard brands' Bemis, Church, and Mayfair all belong to the Bemis Bath Products firm.
In 2020, how are these brand names really placed with respect to 'objective product quality?' Are there overlaps or is there a distinct hierarchy?
I ask because we moved into a freshly renovated duplex at a CCRC (retirement community) and the new toilets are K-4436 Wellworths from Kohler and the seats, plastic with 4 bumpers and stainless steel hinges and posts by Church. The seats are very hard to lift and close. The posts are splayed by about 1/16" along the length of the threaded posts. Is this 'typical?"
How well respected are these plumbing components?
Thanks,
baumgrenze
