Hello experts, I renovated an older home that had plaster in the bathroom. I removed all and replaced. Not having a plumbing background, I did not realize I would be creating a 14” rough for my toilet since I removed 2 inch thick plaster. My question is related to options. Before someone suggests simply buying a 14 rough toilet, I attempted 4 times and all came broken from American standard. No local supply houses have them. The sewer pipe is 3 inch and I cannot buy an offset flange that would join up to the cast sewer pipe easily. Could I use a reducing 4x3 Fernco donut and press inside a 4 inch abs offset flange and press over the 3 inch sewer pipe or would that cause clogs? I don’t want to jack hammer slab, but I do want to close the gap behind my toilet. The tank on my Toto rocks back and forth when flushing causing wear on the spud gasket requiring me to replace 2x. Thanks everyone!
