11 inch & 10.5 inch rough-in - buying new toilets need help with Toto

Hi.
I've read the older threads on 11" flange where it"s been said that the original Drake model will fit, but I still don't understand how.

I've looked at the Toto spec sheets and for the Drake, it shows 1 1/8 from the bottom to the wall. but it's only 3/4" from the tank to the wall. So, how would that fit?

Can someone help me understand what I am missing? We prefer to buy the more modern looking Entrada, which is 1 3/8 from the bottom (more) and 3/4 from the wall (same).

We need to buy a toilet ASAP for the bathroom with the 11" rough-in and would like to minimize a gap at the wall, so are hoping to avoid buying a toilet for a 10" rough-in if possible. It's a small room, so looking for a round seat. can we safely but the Entrada? Thanks!

The CST744EL will fit.
The CST244EF will need the bolts out a fit further, at 11-25"
With either bowl, you have 3/8" you can shift as the horn is 2-5/8" and the drain is 3".

You did not mention price, but that may have made the Entrada more attractive.

Go by Terry's suggestion, unless the Eco Supreme tickles your style so much that you are willing to pay the premium.

Note that tilt on the toilet can have a significant effect on whether the tank hits the wall. You can control tilt with shims if you like. Put your shims in place before dropping a toilet on wax. Do not raise a toilet on wax once squished.

Thanks much to both of you. The Entrada is an easier price point, but we also like the look of the narrow tank on the Entrada toilet, which is 15 1/4 versus the eco Drake which is 19 7/8. We’re trying to squeeze as much free space as we can get in our small 5x8 guest bath. In the end, we’re happy to get whichever toilet fits best.

Would the round seat version of the Entrada - CST243EF fit the same as the elongated version you mentioned? We’d gain 2 extra inches with the round seat version. Couldn’t find a universal height with round seat for the Eco Drake.

Code on width for a toilet is 30" or 15" from center. You still need room for your shoulders and arms.
The difference in length between round and elongated is 1.5" and no difference in where your feet wind up sitting down.

Our general rule here is that you always buy the elongated unless an architectural element mandates the round, like if a door won't open all the way because it would bang into the elongated and the 1.5" difference with the round lets it just clear the toilet. Otherwise, you will never, ever notice the beneficial difference in size of the round, but you will notice the vastly-increased difference in comfort with the elongated.

I put two Drakes in our house on Long Island, one elongated and one round, because I thought that the I would appreciate the additional 1.5" clearance between the front of the bowl and the side of the bathtub in that bathroom. NOPE. I realize now that because you sit in exactly the same place on the elongated, it would have made no difference in the sense of room to get around the toilet, and I actually walk further to use the elongated because it's more comfortable.
