I'm working in a 50's house with this old water meter. Backed the old loop assembly off aprox 1/8 rotation to get it off the concrete foundation so that it could be spray foamed behind. Of course it developed the tiniest drip. I believe the fitting out of the top of the street shutoff is a 5/8...

Thanks for the info. Do you think I would see much of an issue with draining speed due to a lack of venting in that 12" horizontal, or is it short enough it shouldn't effect it?
