    Cleanout location and type

This is the end of one of my DWV systems which is exposed in the basement. Where should I located cleanouts, and what type should they be (a wye with a plug pointed in a certain direction, or a cleanout tee)? Thanks.

    PEX homerun for double vanity

Thanks, will tee in the wall then. I also noticed that both posts you're stubing out in PEX. I was debating how best to do this: PEX or a copper stub, but if Terry Love is stubing out in PEX I think I will too. The one exception is for an exposed shower I am installing that I think the only...

    PEX homerun for double vanity

I'll be pluming a remodeled portion of my home soon that includes a bathroom with double vanity. My question is how best to handle the supply to the double vanity. It seems very excessive to have a home run for both hot and cold supplies of each sink, not to mention the issue of the...

    Please critique my DWV plan

Thanks Terry. The 3" stack and vent are existing. I've moved the washer downstream of everything and will follow table 706.3 for all my fittings.

    Please critique my DWV plan

This is on a second floor and the vertical 3" drain and vent are existing. I was trying to follow this guide on wet venting the WC and believe I have through the double Lav. I can make the laundry it's own branch so it doesn't run by the shower, but I'm not sure I can make it the last thing.

    Removing cast iron pipes

Is there a "plumbing nightmare" thread? This would be my contribution. Most of this cast iron piping is from a defunct system and the remainder I am going to just tear out and replace. Everything in this bath needs to be moved anyway. What's the best method of taking out the old cast iron...

Please help with my sanitary drainage and venting plan

One follow up. Could I get away with a 1.5" line for the shower branch?

Please help with my sanitary drainage and venting plan

Thanks for such prompt responses. I've updated my plan removing the shower vent and adding some approximate distances and pipe dimensions. Would it also be possible to remove the WC vent?

Please help with my sanitary drainage and venting plan

Please critique (help) my drainage and venting plan. I am adding a bathroom to the second floor of my home and I would like to keep all of the plumbing within the floor joists. None of the new bathroom's walls extend to the first floor, so the only opportunity to run the waste stack down to...
