Thanks for all the replies turns out I overestimated how much pitting. I sanded it with fresh emory cloth and it cleaned up like new. I decided to go with shark bite because of convenience then tape wrapped for burial. I may have to get to it in the future for future work. Thanks again.

Just thought I would report back..... Success! So I removed the bowl and snaked it with my new commercial duty reinforced cable snake auger and finished it off with a drain dog hose attachment. Working perfectly now!
