Thanks. Think I'm going to go with a Hydromatic DA1 with piggyback switch for the replacement.

    Zoeller M264 stopped pumping

Thank you for the reply. That's what I figured, though it would have been nice to pinpoint the cause. At this point I am looking to replace the pump. Since this is really only acting as a sump pump, can anyone recommend a good pump to go with? Thanks again all. -Linc

    Zoeller M264 stopped pumping

So, I started taking the thing apart to attempt repair. I first remove the lower screws (circled in red) to see if there was anything there. There was no blockage or really anything to see here at all, just the lower shroud/housing. Next I removed the screws highlighted in Blue. This may...

    Zoeller M264 stopped pumping

Thanks for the reply. I have the thing out now. The impeller? turns freely by hand and I don't see any gunk binding it up from below. Anybody ever take one of these apart? I'm wondering if there is something internal that is blocking something above the impeller? I'm searching for a service...

    Zoeller M264 stopped pumping

I have a 3 1/2 year old Zoeller M264 pump that stopped pumping. I installed this pump myself on advice from this forum and has worked well until now. It is only pumping laundry water and AC condensate at this time. Any advice on if this is repairable? I have reached in the pit and can...

    Suggestions on fixing this

I know, I know, seemed pretty obvious.:o But, would you guys suggest making it bigger on the pipe side, or making it bigger on the opposite side near the foundation wall? I still will need a way to tie the drain pipe into the 18x30 pit. I did not see any gasket or mechanical fitting on...

    Suggestions on fixing this

Futher along now... I now have the old 18x24 sump pit and broken sump pump out. The next 'obstacle' I ran into (all experienced plumbers rolling eyes at this point) was the cast iron pipe that was entering the pit from a floor drain. With this pipe extending into the pit, I cannot get the...

    Suggestions on fixing this

Yes, the pump is only for the utility sink and condensate now. The washing machine does discharge into the utility sink. The water softener also discharges into this sink when it re-generates/charges. Thanks again, Linc.

Cass, thanks for your quick reply, I appreciate it. Yes. That trap is for the utility sink, the trap is not under the sink, but staight pipe over to where you see the trap now. Not sure yet - any suggestions? Not yet. Right now, I just want to fix the plumbing that is there to make it...

    Suggestions on fixing this

To be clear on my intentions here. I am replacing a standard (non-sewage) ejector pump with a sewage ejector pump and larger basin now (this weekend). I am doing this b/c the pump died and I want to put in a full basement bath soon. What I will do later is break up the concrete and...

    Suggestions on fixing this

Attached is a picure of my current ejector pump. Notice the 1/2" pvc coming in from the rear, that is a hacked way that someone is piped AC condensate into this pit. It is draining into the pit, with the lid just sitting right on top of the pvc. Obviously, this lid NEVER was closed or...

Sewage ejector pump - recommendation please

Looking for recommendation on a sewage ejector pump. I have one place recommending the Hydromatic SKV40 and another recommending Zoeller M264. They seem pretty comparable, which pump (or other) does the collective forum wisdom recommend for a typical residential (yet to be plumbed under...

I am looking for a plumbing supply house. I would like to find a local plumbing supply business that will sell direct to me for my upcoming basement sewage pump installation. I am near Downers Grove IL zip 60523 which is 30 minutes outside of Chicago. I would like to buy from such a place...

    Floor drain to ejector/effluent pump?

Similar situation here I have a similar situation. I DO have a floor drain that currently empties into an ejector pump. This sump pit is not sealed (the lid doesn't even sit flush as there is 1/2" PVC running under it for AC condensate). This pit handles water from Laundry draining from a...
