I thought you weren't suppose to screw a metal piece into a female plastic piece.

I am in the process of setting up a sprinkler pump for my lawn watering. The pump is a Goulds GT15 with 1.5" suction and 1.5" discharge. I am pretty sure I have the suction side good to go, but I am racking my head trying to figure out the best way to do the discharge side. I want 4 hose...
