    well keeps cutting on and off

    My shallow 1/2 power well pump keeps cutting on and off. I get water but it gets to hot so I just cut it off. What can be the problem? I have adjusted the pressure but that seems to not fix the problem.

    I have a wayne jet shallow 1/2 horse power well pump that keeps cutting on and off. I have adjusted the pressure gauge but to no solution. It pumps water but not at same pressure. Also it gets very hot. Do I have a pressure switch problem? It worked fine last year.
