    In a basement apartment setup, on the perimeter walls which are concrete, can you just drywall directly over them, or would it be best to make a wall and insulate it? Thanks. Also if I were to directly drywall onto the cement walls how do you do that? Construction adhevsive? masonry screws? thanks.

    If I'm corrrect, a shower has to have a trap right? If this shower is in a basement, is hte trap just going to be recessed into the concrete floor, then cemented over? And for toilets, do you have to install a trap, or do they somehow have one built in? Thanks in advance.

    k thanks, I found some sites too that really helped explain a lot of this. For horizontal running drains for like toilets and stuff, what is the max distance horizontally you can run them? And if the toilet is to far away form a main vent line then I just make another line to the roof...

    actually..there might be a change of plans, I was talking to a friend who said the right way to go is to get a big holding tank put in below the concrete, then have all my stuff running to that, then pump that out to something tapped into the sewer or whatever. Anybody have any thoughts on that...
