    Flooring options for basement

Have you considered carpet tiles? No padding for mold and if they get wet, just replace those pieces. I'll be doing the same thing myself in a few weeks.

is this plaster or asbestos on my blueboard?

Well, here is a pic of the blueboard and gray stuff (plaster?)... I think I overreacted here. I simply though plaster was always white.

is this plaster or asbestos on my blueboard?

is the plaster coat that goes over blue board typically gray? I always thought it was white so that's what made me question it I guess. it really doesn't appear like there are strands of fiber, looks like gray concrete almost.

Remedy for AAV concealed in wall?

Thanks for the quick reply! Wasn't sure, because I kept wondering if sewer gas would leak straight up into the wall, or towards the easiest exit (the panel vent).

Move AAV from wall to under sink?

I have an AAV in my wall. I have purchased a small vented access panel to remedy the enclosure issue. I'm wondering if it just doesn't make more sense to move the AAV to be under the bathroom sink? The unit works for both my sink and toilet. Is their a height issue? The AAV is about 4 or 5...

Tile floor with particleboard subfloor and hardibacker... am I hosed?

Pulled out some old hardwood floor in a closet to convert to a bathroom. Beneath what was wood laid diagonally. Over that, I placed 3/4 particleboard.... yeah, I meant to buy plywood, but the store was out of stock and didn't realize this was a significant mistake. Over that, I screwed in 1/4...
