wedi is way to go! we have remodeled our three bathrooms ourselves last year. i would highly recommend Wedi board , they are expensive as Kerdi but you should be able to locate them easily. They have a website. It is also very easy to work with than cement board. http://www.wedicorp.com/

Have u already started the work? If you are looking for the most waterproof system u should look into wedi shower system we have used it is worth the money. Hope this helps.

My husband and i are trying to renovate our old standing shower from seventies. we have been shopping around and came across Wedi and Kerdi shower system. Wedi system looks easy to install. anyone has used Wedi system before? Any pros or cons of either? thanks in advance for your response.
