    BTU ratings

    I just purchased a new hot water boiler, I understand what the input BTU means, then they list the DOE BTU out put and the IBR BTU output. The IBR is substantially less. Does anybody know how the rate the two and which one to use when specing a boiler ? I used the IBR to size this unit Lou
