    Thermostatic valve max flow rate

    I'm remodeling bathrooms in a home in Washington state. The code restricts the flow rate for shower heads to 1.8GPM, but I can't find anything that specifies a max flow rate for the mixing valve (I'm using a thermostatic). Can I install a 2.5GPM mix valve if the code only specifies the shower...
