Pressure switch 30/60? Why 20 PSI range

Is there a problem with changing my 30/50 pressure switch to 30/60? (If it will go that high.) Wouldn't that put more water in the tank and pump run a little less often? Why do pressure switches have only a 20 PSI range?

Well pump control box rattles, has voltage.

3 month old Goulds CB05412 control box rattles. Was working fine. Holding tank went empty, pressure gauge on zero. Pressure in empty tank was 50PSI. Let air out to 28 PSI. Tried to manually start 30/50 pressure switch. Box just makes a loud rattling noise. Voltage to box measures 244V...

    Gas generator wiring to house

I have a 3600W gas generator. Instead of running extension cords around in the house l was told another way to get power. First after the power goes out you trip the house main breaker. Then you can run 1 extension cord into the house and plug in a short male/male cord and that can go in any...

    Air in submersible pump well

Would submersible pumps from the 1980's have a check valve attached? If so I'm surprised the new tank instructions required a check valve by the tank if it may cause problems. Thanks for the responses.

    Tankless holding tank?

No, I'm trying to get the amperage needed down. Also want to be able to run a small stream of hot water without the tankless going back to cold. Figured when the hot holding tank would let me do that.

    Tankless holding tank?

Would it be possible to have a 12kw tankless water heater going to a 20 gallon small water heater as a holding tank? Reasons: I could use smaller amp breakers, not 2x40A for a 18kw in my 200A breaker box. I could draw a continuous small stream of hot water and not have to have the big stream...

    Air in submersible pump well

I guess l didn't want to confuse you with what may be 2 different problems. I am still using old submersible pump (1980's) Replaced tank, pressure switch, pressure regulator, drain faucet, main brass "T" & control box. Still with old pump. Added new check valve. (per mfr's instructions). Old...

Check valve and air in submersible well pump

I have a submersible well pump from1980's. Don't know model, may be Goulds. Installed a new holding tank. Did not have a check valve by the original tank, and it worked fine. Tank bladder went bad. New tank instructions said to add a check valve, which l did. There is air in the pipes now...

    Air in submersible pump well

Installed a new 30/50 holding tank. Pump is from the 1980's. Don't know the model, think it's Goulds. Pump seems to work fine. Replacing it in spring. Toilet is flushed and pressure is around 35. When it hits 30 the needle drops quickly to around 10 and a bunch of air comes in. The toilet...
