I can always buy it online and have it shipped but that adds a decent cost also. Seem like most people use pex for there supply lines here BUT they...

What type of pipe for water supply line

Dropping 65' in elevation, gravity should give me about 28 psi and an booster pump to get to 50 psi. Looking to have about 15 gpm flow. I think roughly a 1.25" pipe will be 30 feet head loss, 1.5" pipe 12 feet head loss, and 2" pipe 5 feet. If that is right was thinking 1.5" pipe

Good evening, I am going to be running a 700' 1.5" water supply line from my storage tank to home. What type of pipe do you all recommend using? I see people using PEX PVC HPDE and others. It will be in southern Arizona. Thanks Ryan

    Water Storage Tank Location

Yes I didn't think about the emergency upside. I live in Arizona desert so diffidently want a storage tank. Seems like its not that big of a deal to have the well pump down low pump the water the additional way up the mountain to the storage tank.

    Water Storage Tank Location

Thanks so much for the response. Do you think running the addition 250' of pipe and having the well pump pump the water up an addition 100' elevation gain only to get 25psi from gravity and to need booster pumps anyway would even be worth it? Or should I just plan on needing booster pumps and...
