I should have mentioned that I have filters for disinfecting the water

I have a Shurflo 55PSI pump that is 12VDC (model 5030-2201-A010). Would connecting it my household plumbing (which is a mix of 1/2" and 3/4" copper) and connecting the inlet to some 55 gallon rain barrels give suitable supply and pressure in an emergency?
