need advice on equipment upgrade-water tests attached

I can pretty much tell you the capabilities of an average well pump/tank is not going to make 12 gpm for the duration of the backwash cycle. They usually just don't push that hard and that's probably the problem. More than likely, the salesman who sold me the system didn't give me the right...

The softener is on the left and these are both raw water tests. The tank is a 12 inch tank and the drain line is 3/4". I am the installer. Nelsen set the tank up with the components that it needed to operate properly. It's regenerating every other night which should be sufficient for the...

What's the DLFC? No filter in front in front of the Katalox as I was told it would do the job of filtering sediment.

need advice on equipment upgrade-water tests attached

I could but I think it could be pretty difficult to do as everything is hard plumbed. I'm thinking if I'm going to do that' I'd just replace the unit with something different. I probably have pretty good flow. Now, that I think about it, I used 1 1/4 line down the well casing and into the...

I was hoping the softener could handle the iron and manganese. Media is just over 3 years old. The link from Nelsen is how I was instructed to program the valve. I'm regenerating every other day. I'm not sure i'm getting 8-9 gpm out of it...

need advice on equipment upgrade-water tests attached

Can use some help with the water treatment system. I had a house built over 3 years ago and based on the old water test attached, the salesman at Nelsen recommended a Katalox Media filter for the iron/sediment and a water softener for the iron. I ended up installing the system pictured and...

How much salt should I set my 48k grain softener with clack valve to use?

I've got a new 48k grain softener with a clack valve that's built by Nelsen Corp. My water had some turbidity, iron and manganese also that I take care of with a Katalox media with AIO filter before going to the softener. I'm pretty new to programing these clack valves and am wondering how...

Building new house. What's the best bang for buck Toilet

I'm building a new home and need to get 3 toilets. What's the best toilet out there for the money. Would prefer something with an elongated bowl. Also don't want anything with some proprietary valve that needs special parts. Suggestions please.

Ohio well water tests are in. Please recommend equipment.

A vendor here suggested a Katalox filter with an AIO clack head along with a water softener. Customer is concerned about the maintenance of the AIO system. He read that the head will need to be disassembled and cleaned every 6 months or so. Then you have two units, the water softener and the...

Ohio well water tests are in. Please recommend equipment.

We had a well drilled while back ago that I posted about. The water was very cloudy and it would not clear up. We had the driller come back in and drill the well deeper and add more casing. We have pretty clear water now and think we can work with this. Please take a look at my tests and...

New Well-Water is cloudy. Treatment options?

I had the well driller come back out and punch the well deeper. I'm now at 135 feet deep and I'm in the bedrock. We ran the well two days at 15 gpm and we have clear water. The water is definitely harder now at that debt. I'll be getting it tested as soon as we get the permanent pump back in.

New Well-Water is cloudy. Treatment options?

Yes I'm happy about the 20 micron doing the work to get the water clear. Unfortunately, the water is still cloudy after running it since we put the pump in. I figure I've pumped almost 30,000 gallons from this well trying to develop it. I'm pretty much to the point that I know I'm going to...

New Well-Water is cloudy. Treatment options?

Today I put on a 20 micron filter in the filter housing I have in line. The water is clear after the 20 micron filter. The material is obviously larger than 20 micron. The filter did not last long though. I'm going to continue to keep flushing trying to get the water to clear.

New Well-Water is cloudy. Treatment options?

When my driller was done drilling, we developed the well with a temporary pump at 15 gpm for 4 hours. I’m pumping today at 10 gallons a minute which is about as hard as will ever have to pull. After running this well this long, I’m pretty sure it’s not going to clear up. I’m going to run it a...

New Well-Water is cloudy. Treatment options?

I’m just concerned the combination iron filter/sediment filter will not do as a good as a job as a dedicated sediment filter. I figure i need to soften the water anyways and I’ll take care of iron there. Yes I’m familiar with the iron out salt. Currently, I use a bag of regular and one bag of...

New Well-Water is cloudy. Treatment options?

Well in my area, northeast Ohio, 1 ppm iron is considered pretty good. My current well is 18 grains hard and has 3ppm iron. The iron and hardness are easily removed with a water softener. I planned on getting one as it’s basically a must around here with well water. In my current home all the...

New Well-Water is cloudy. Treatment options?

I'm building a new home and the well was finished last week.. The well is 88 feet deep and our static water is at 32 feet. In the area we're building there's generally a lot of water. The driller stopped drilling in gravel as it seemed to produce a lot of water. After running the well with a...
