AC Drain Line into Tub Overflow - Can I reroute?

Thanks everyone, I re-routed it over and down to to where the sink will be (inside a vanity cabinet) and I'll connect it there before (above) the sink's p-trap.

AC Drain Line into Tub Overflow - Can I reroute?

Hi there, I am converting an old tub to a walk-in shower as part of a complete reno on a bathroom in my house. I already did another bathroom years ago and some guys on this forum helped me tremendously, so I'm hoping for some advice here as well. The problem is that I have an AC Drain line...

    Ice Maker Drain

OK, I am not sure what an open site drain is - I thought a standpipe was an open drain. So would this air gap work if I were to use that standpipe? Put this in the top of the pipe? So that if the pipe backs up it won't reach the icemaker drain line...

    Ice Maker Drain

No, the kitchen sink is on an island. The drain is for the icemaker. So I can use the standpipe? Is that what you are saying?

    Ice Maker Drain

Thank you James, I did watch that video, but it never shows what the drain goes into. However, this video does, around the 1:44 mark, and it is just an open standpipe. So, since the washing machine standpipe has a p-trap and an open drain, can I just share that one with the washing machine?

    Ice Maker Drain

Hello all, we are remodeling our home and intending to put a 15" undercabinet ice maker in the area indicated here: The icemaker is a Kitchenaid with a built-in pump and hose, and the instructions say to run the hose into an open drain. The plumber said there was a problem with this plan...

Tub Drain Connection in concrete slab

OK, so after some more research and the advice posted above, I decided to do all this the right way while I've got the tub ripped out as I don't plan on doing this again anytime soon. So, I used an angle grinder with diamond blade, cold chisel and hammer to bust out concrete until I found the...

Adding 2nd Sink-Does this look right?

Wow-that's an experienced eye to see that from that picture. Yes, it's 2" below that existing tee. So I will replace the bottom tee and then go from there with the 2 x 1.5 x 1.5. Thanks Terry!

Adding 2nd Sink-Does this look right?

I'm adding a 2nd sink, about 3ft over from the existing drain that is tee'd directly onto the vent. Can I simply glue a sanitary tee right above the existing one, and then run pvc over about 3 ft through the studs? If I remember correctly, 3 ft is close enough to the vent, just not sure about...

Tub Drain Connection in concrete slab

OK, so that's kinda where I'm confused. The new tub drain assembly I have is EXACTLY the same size as the brass pipe: So, there is no getting the PVC inside that brass pipe. Given that, can I just use a simple PVC slip coupler? Or would I need to use something else? There is a ton of room...

Tub Drain Connection in concrete slab

Thank you all for your attention to this! I really appreciate the advice! @c_g_lima, the problem with replacing the entire drain pipe all the way to the trap is that I can't seem to access the trap. I tried digging down further, the foundation concrete pretty much closes off at the bottom, I...

Tub Drain Connection in concrete slab

Hello, newbie here, so I appreciate any advice you pros could give! I am remodeling a bathroom in my house and will be replacing the tub/tub drain as well. However, I am confused as to what I found when I demo'd the old stuff. I am attaching pictures, but I cannot tell how the old brass...
