Zurn flush valve causes sink to run/vibrate

I'm looking at a flush valve toilet which, when flushed, causes the lav faucet to run and produce some rhythmic vibration. If the valves are off on the faucet, how is this happening? Maybe the flush valve is producing higher pressure than the line, surging back the line pressure so much that it...

Schedule 40 PVC underground vs. SDR 35

That's what I had always assumed. I know how easy it is to break sdr 35 with a shovel or whatever so I always felt it was a big upgrade in strength. I suppose the bell end couplings create a more resilient joint there for earth movement and, if using gasketed, that should be very tolerant to...

Schedule 40 PVC underground vs. SDR 35

I recently talked to someone who was telling me that you should NEVER use schedule 40 pipe and DWV fittings for sewer outside of the building. He said it will inevitable fail and SDR 35 or similar thinwall is superior. An excavator he knows insists it will break at the fittings. I have...

    Bar sink drain basket connection

    Bar sink drain basket connection

Metal support bracket used for PEX A

I recently saw a rough-in and noticed some of the stub outs on the water heater were supported by expanding the pex after it was pushed through a metal bracket. It felt solid and it was a support method I'd never thought of. With the tight fit and differing expansion rates, I was wondering if...
