Kohler Hint deck mount tub faucet with 3/8" copper

Any idea why Kohler would be listing it far higher then? Also, I like your idea of testing, but curious how I could do that now given I'm a ways off from actually installing the faucet. We are just at rough stage and it will likely be 6 months or more before I install the faucet. We hired...

Kohler Hint deck mount tub faucet with 3/8" copper

Well the 3/8 copper "inlet" that I'm referring to is the supply to the faucet valve. So plumber will hook up the Uponor PEX hot and cold to the 3/8 hot and cold "inlet" to the faucet valve. When I measure the copper it's 1/2" OD and looks to be type L copper. I tried the link you provided...

Kohler Hint deck mount tub faucet with 3/8" copper

So my plumbers brought to my attention something regarding the tub filler we had bought from Kohler. The model is Kohler Hint K-97070-4-BN. This faucet is listed on the Kohler website as having a 11 gpm flow rate, but our plumber thought this was not going to possible given it has 3/8" copper...

    Test Plug???

So how will I test this fernco fitting when it comes to inspection time? I'm tying into an existing 4" cast that goes directly to the septic tank. Was thinking I might be able to add a floor clean out as shown just to the right, but the test ball would need to go all the way past the fernco...

    Prepping for Underslab DWV Inspection

So I’m just starting our plumbing for our whole home remodel. We have removed all previous plumbing, cut slab for new plumbing, trenched and are now in the midst of laying the new lines. For reference I’m in Michigan and are under the IPC 2015. Wondering how the layout currently looks and if...

    Double Sanitary Tee

I was working on the DWVset up at my cabin and it dawned on me I might be able to use a double sanitary tee. Question is, cani I use a vertical sanitary tee in this orientation. Basically top connection will be from small bath sink Bottom connection goes to one of the main 3" drain lines Then...

Laminate flooring in cabin build out

So its a log cabin and the laminater flooring stops about 1" before it actually gets to the exterior log. So there should be plenty of expansion room at the edges. Are you saying it should be no big deal as well that I screwed the bathroom framing walls to the floating floor as well? I should...

Laminate flooring in cabin build out

So, I'm finishing out a cabin we bought over the summer. The cabin was basically a shell with roof, windows, doors and laminate flooring installed. I've been working on the bathroom and am getting leary of some things I was going to do and have done. 1. I framed out a couple of walls for the...

    PEX sizing

Had a little more luck today and found a brass reducer that should work well. I'll then add a 3/4 x 3/4 x 1/2 tee. Run 3/4 to the tankless electric hot water heater, and the 1/2 to rest of house. Now trying to find a clamp for the 1-1/4 pipe connection. Wondering if these work well for PEX...

    PEX sizing

Actually the big PEX tube is the supply. I just cut a couple inches off both lines to take to the big box store and see if I could make a connection between the two, when I took the picture I just had that 1/2" sitting inside of the larger PEX As I mentioned, the supply line is the larger...

    PEX sizing

So... that is a picture of the water line from our "pump house" to the new cabin. The pressure tank is before this water line. The 1/2 pex is what I was going to use for all the plumbing in the cabin. Small 14x20 rental with most usage during the summer. 1 kitchen sink, 1 shower, 1 toilet, 1...

    PEX sizing

So over the fall I had a contractor install a septic as well as fresh water main and electrical conduit to cabin. I'm just now getting around to begin the fresh water connections and when I 1st looked at the main PEX line comming in I assumed it was a 1" PEX pipe. So I bought a 1" to 1/2"...

    New Cabin Venting

Thanks for the quick relpy!! Lets see... Yeah, I was thinking of adding an AAV at the bathroom sink, just didn't know if it was needed since there is a dry vent down stream for the toilet & sink? As for the shower, the drawing doesn't really show it, but the shower drain will eventually tie...
