Air leak where lines penetrate AC cabinet

Hi all, thanks for the help. I recently moved to a new home and noticed air leaks where the lines penetrate the AC cabinet. I am unsure of how to fix the leaks and would love to hear your advice. Both of the pipes in the picture have air leaks where the seal is poorly installed.

Cork tape was what was sealing the leaks previously. Box store or plumbing supply might also carry it.

Should I replace with cork tape or use something different? Seems like the original tape didnt last too long, the AC is only a couple of years old.
I assume that installing new cork tape would entail completely removing and cleaning the existing one?

Cork tape usually works ok can handle the heat of the furnace. Just clean the surface up.

Look up "Thum Gum." There are similar products at the big box stores.
