I am a DIY.

We have a new construction 4 zone radiant in slab heat system and a Lochinvar Squire indirect tank for DHW. I am utilizing 5 Grundfos UP-ZV zone valves with one system pump (Alpha 1). I have a Tekmar 306V Controller. The boiler is a Lochinvar Knight WHB110n with an external Grundfos UPML Pump.

My question is how would you wire this up? I want to utilize the zone priority feature of the Tekmar but I want to utilize the tank sensor instead of an aquatstat.

The Knight can utilize the tank sensor data but how do I get a signal back to Tekmar to tell it zone 1 needs to open etc?

I have been studying those manuals but I still not sure how to handle it.

The zones 2-5 thermostats I have tied into the top of the Tekmar controller and the have the actual zone valves tied into the bottom of the Tekmar controller motor/end switch. I am just not sure how to handle the zone 1 (DHW) as its a tank sensor and not an open/close tstat. The Lochinvar can handle the tank sensor but then how do I signal the Zone 1 tstat terminal on the Tekmar? Do I run a parallel signal wire to both components at once? Would I be farther ahead to scrap the Tekmar and just rely on the Knight boiler for everything?

Look at page 60 dhw type in lockinvar manual. Use a relay to signal tekmar zone1 thermostat contacts from lockinvar dhw pump contacts.
