I’m doing some work under my bathtub and noticed this green corrosion on the hot line coming into the faucet. It’s about 8 years old.
It is NOT leaking. Should I be worried about it?

Electrolysis. Due to low voltage current running through it. This is usually characterized with pitting.

Touching dissimilar metals maybe. Flux not cleaned off will do this too.

Is it too late to clean it off if it was flux? I have to pull it all out to replace the cold side valve anyway.
