No cold water in laundry closet

Looking at the valves Oatey supply, it is likely the plumbing lines are soldered directly to the valves, thereby requiring some drywall removal for access to the connections.

They do seem to utilize some valves that will unthread independent of the supply such as this gas valve.

Perhaps only the handle has cracked and is no longer gripping the valve stem without slipping? If so, repair may only require a new handle.

But, again, my main issue right now is can I remove the valve stem without removing the bonnet? Or break the ball loose?

I'm not sure its the quadtro. That has a 1/4 turn valve installation, and I don't remember doing that. Wishing I would have bought that unit. Here in SoCal, the water is so hard...there are always these issues.

I believe I have the original receipt at home, so I may be able to find the exact Oatey unit that I bought. That would help clarify if the valve can be replaced without opening the wall.

Or, as you suggest, I may be able to get the handle off and replace it.

I looked through the various washing machine box models currently listed on the Oatey site. That one seemed to be similar to your photos. Perhaps they have made changes to allow each valve's position to be easily changed.

Ball valves are typically 1/4 turn and I anticipate yours are also, with the longest part of each handle pointing in the direction of flow when the valve is open.

Oatey likely uses the same valves on all of their models except the models with one lever to open or close both hot and cold valves at the same time.

When you get down to it the washing machine boxes and valves are not any better and harder to maintain than old school. I prefer 2 hose bibs either compressin or threaded coming out the wall above the machine where I can see conections and service them.
Btw sometimes the the valves can come apart with out cutting dry wall
