My cold water bahtub faucet is leaking. I was able to remove the faucet stem but go to the local hardware and tell me I need to remove the entire cartridge for identification. Since there's no way to identify the manufacturer. I can't find a way to remove the cartridge.

Was able to text pics my local plumbers supply store and they told me I didn't need to remove the valve from the tub (Dumbass big box stores). They don't carry this stem and think I'm going to have a hard time locally locating it. Need help figuring out the manufacturer. Stem length is 11 and broach is 12pt. Two handle faucet.

Does this leak only when the faucet is turned on, or all of the time? If only when turned on, the smaller hex may be a packing nut. Can you loosen that nut separately from the big threaded piece? Adding or changing packing may solve your leak. I am not familiar with your faucet, and am only using generic knowledge of how faucets were built pre-cartridge.

Changing the washer on the bottom may stop the leak when the faucet is off, and you still might need packing. If the seat is changeable, change the seat while changing the washer.

Price pfister, (now just Pfister), roman tub stem. Call 1-800-PFAUCET for a replacement (including the seats). The lower portion is the same as a wide spread lavatory stem, but the upper part is shorter.
