I'm in the Seattle area.
My neighbor next door to me died of COVID last week, and a friend from High School mentioned that in his Redmond neighborhood one death and four more with COVID cases. Of course I'm blocks away from the center in Kirkland with all those reported deaths you've read about in the news.
I'm at home today trying to plan my way through this. I'm in the older generation that needs to take this very seriously. If you get COVID at my age, the percentage that die from it is pretty high. I don't gamble in casinos and I gave up home building because I don't like to gamble.

I saw this near where I shop for groceries in the middle of the street. Too many paper towels and wipes. It's clogging pumps and sewer lines.

Our service department is still working. Tomorrow is our last day for contract work in the field. I'm still busy walking through peoples houses for estimates.. Via web chats-- we'll see how this ends up in 6 months when these sign.

We are also in the same market as Terry. Things are interesting at this time.

Had one call in the last week. Sewage ejector pump.

Yippee.

Turned it down.

Wife's not in good shape and I can't take a chance on bringing something home.

I did enjoy a game of bumper carts with all the other old fogies down at the supermarket this morning. They had paper goods.

I just got this email from our state representative. Florida (Orlando area)

This is the latest on coronavirus related efforts in Orange County.

Orange County now has 50 reported cases of coronavirus. Just one week ago, we had one case. The county is working to slow the spread and keep our residents safe and healthy.

Stay at Home Order
Mayor Demings is signing an Executive Order today calling for a “Stay at Home” mandate for the entire county. It will go into effect at 11 pm on Thursday, March 26th and continue for two weeks, until Thursday, April 9th at 11 pm.
The entire county will be asked to stay at home as much as possible, with some exceptions for businesses and activities deemed “essential.”
Once signed, the Executive Order will be posted here: www.ocfl.net/coronavirus

When you’re retired it is hard not to do anything. The wife is type 1 diabetic, I’m borderline type 2 so she won’t let me out of the house. A bike ride in the neighborhood is ok. This morning we went to the supermarket during the senior hour and no paper. The first time in week we left the house. The local gas station is $1.99 a gallon and no where to go.

I volunteer each Monday at a food pantry and the coordinator did not want the older people helping. The wife was happy about that.

The wife and I booked a Alaska Cruise from Seattle in Oct 2018 for this August. We are going to postpone it to next year. Just a month ago I bought the tickets for this trip, from MCO to SEA, then SEA to SFO, then back to Orlando. We also postponed a cruise just two weeks ago from Ft Lauderdale to the southern Caribbean. What a bummer.

Thanks for the venting

I made three trips to Canada for skiing this Winter and now my local skiing is over. I was hoping to get six more weeks out of my passes. Nope. Too many people too close together. My vacation plans will wait until things get better. I may wind up doing some catch up things for this site and also on my home. I do have some plans for it.

A lot of my business is on hold right now.
I do remodels and service work, it might be because I have an older clientele but most people don't want you in their house unless it's an emergency.
To be honest I'm in the higher risk category so I'm fine with holding off.
