I'm putting in an outside shower. I would normally drain it into a drywell, but new regulations say it needs to go into the sewer. A vent and trap seem unnecessary as the sewer gas would just come back up the drain making a vent unnecessary. A vent stack if needed would have to go thru the roof, away from windows? Any diagrams on how it should be done? Thanks.

Do they allow an AAV there, which only allows air to go one direction?
Taking a shower with sewer gases in my face doesn't sound like much fun.

If the showerhead will be on a post/pillar think you could run a vent pipe high enough up the post that holds the showerhead. If the showerhead will be on a building, I am not sure how to best run that if you cannot connect to an existing vent pipe. That AAV sounds like a nice solution.

The town does allow for an AAV so long as it's accessible. That's the way to go. Thanks.
