Taking this out today. Have never seen a water heater this old. Philadelphia Electric Mfg. Co. Can not fond any info anywhere. Does anyone have any info on this. Serial# N-4341. Maybe made in the 40’s?

It may have external wrap around band elements and about1500-2000 watts. If so those heaters seemed to last forever.

A lot depends on your water chemistry and use. THen, there's the luck of the draw. Don't expect the new one to last as long!

An electric WH is a pretty simple device. Water can be nasty stuff, then the thermal cycling takes its toll, too.
