Hi everyone. Although Ive plumbed a few homes over 10 years ago inthe state of Missouri, I am embarrased to say that. Cannot rememberome requirements for a basement main floor drain. I have a 4” main stack which goes across the basement floor. I am wyeing in a 3” line for a floor drain with P trap. I cannot remember codes for the length of the 3” drain as far as too close causing a possible overflow or too far away causing th drain to have to be vented?
Thank You guys in advance, Douglas

Thank You for the reply. I am asking about without vent and I believe that I remember that in our area, they also refer to a drain distance that is too short. Not that I agree, but I think they refer tompossible siphoning or this causing waste p through the drain. Does anyone know of either a minimum or maximu distance without vent?
Thanks for your help.
Doug
