I'm new here, just recently ran all new plumbing through my house and am now at finishing stages and trying to figure out how to run my trap outside of my sink cabinet basically. I have full access behind the vanity wall inside the furnace room.

I'm wondering if by code I'm allowed to turn 90 directly below the drain then run about 12" horizontal and then turn 90 downwards to drop another 12" directly into the trap.

In Ontario, Canada by the way.

Thanks for any help in advance!

12" will work. It's sort of like what they do for an ADA sink where they want to move the trap further away for wheel chair access.

Thanks for the info.

Do you think I would see much of an issue with draining speed due to a lack of venting in that 12" horizontal, or is it short enough it shouldn't effect it?
