Installing solid set irrigation at a farm in Mattawa Washington State. 125 acres with a circle for irrigation and on parts that the circle didn't hit, we added some solid set. We had a cool little ditch witch so that part was easy at least. The kids chipped in and helped.

Threading on male adapters to the tee. I'm not sure I would do it this way now.

Does that look like a lot of primer to you?

Just don't get any of that on your legs.

Well at least we were near the irrigation ditch to clean up in.

Behind Clare Love are the hand lines we also used. Those were moved back and forth and laid on the ground.

Have you ever carried one of these? The length of them would cause them to bounce as you walked. You had to be a smooth walker.

I used to balance those 30' aluminum pipes across the seat of my Honda 90 minibike and move them from one side of the field to the next. Had to go slow and not hit a bump or the ends would bow down and hit the ground. Wish I had a picture of that. Who was the family photographer that was trying to get out of work? LOL

I would have loved seeing video of you moving those hand lines on your motorcycle.

I think my dad was taking the pictures.
Here he is with one of my nephews.

And what is my father doing here?

Getting the platform ready for planting trees. This will go behind the tractor.

In the gold shirt, I'm placing apples trees in the ground.
The cardboard box to the right has the trees and as we go along, someone hands me a tree, I sight on the line and drop it in so that everything lines up. We planted 600 apple trees that day.

More hand lines to the right. And Tavvy our white German Shepherd. She loved to walk in front of the tractor and eat the mice as they scurried away.
