i have an Acid Neutralizer with an Autotrol 440i control. The Neutralizer hasn’t been run in a few months. I started it up and ran a manual regeneration. It appears at the end of the cycle I still hear water draining very slightly. Almost like it’s dripping. I ran a regeneration a second time and it’s still doing the same. It’s not stopping the drainage completely. Just a very slight drip into the drain. Anyone know what this could be? Some sort of blockage in the head??

you have worn out disc valves or debris stuck in a disc valve. Best thing would be to just replace the disc valves if it's an older unit. 440i is the controller only, you will need to figure out what valve body you have so you can order the correct disc set. Post a picture with the cover removed and I can tell you.

That controller goes on a valve, and the valves I know of have flappers. You may replace the flappers, but some get some extra life by turning the same flappers around.

That is a 255 valve. You need part# 1000250 disc valve set. While you have it apart it might be a good idea to replace the tank adapter to valve body o-rings. The kit is part# 1001404

Great! Thanks so much. I assume it’s fairly simple to do on my own?

At about 4:00 it talks about removing the camshaft.

At about 5:00 it starts talking about accessing the flappers (disks) after the camshaft is off.

At 5:35 it talks about reversing a flapper "in an emergency.
