Hey guys, i have a question about a vent that i saw today. the sanitary wyes used were installed backwards which seems like it would restrict air flow. Is this plausable?

Sanitary tees are normally installed backwards above the trap arm and upright at the trap arm and below.

these are sanitary wyes that are installed in a reverse fashion so the flow is going upstream not down.

That was my recommendation also. Might be a dumb question but what could go wrong this installation? Does this restrict airflow causing system not to work correctly.

Air is a gas, so it does not work by the same rules as water. It flows from high pressure to lower pressure, regardless of which way the fittings are facing. We also cannot tell from your description whether they are installed "backwards" or "forwards" according to the vent system. "reverse fashion",and "flow upstream" WOULD normally mean they are correct, IF YOU are using the terms "reverse" and "upstream" correctly.
