I was considering myself a proud owner of the '' best '' chalk line tool -- 2 of them -- out there .....until recent events .

I did consider 2 colors , black and red . Relying on info from the distributor , I did purchase the big refills bottles in both colors . The black is doing the job at about 80% I would say , but the red color ..... oh boy , it is a disaster . It is barely visible -- on the Novoplan -- and it looks more like a washed out fluo red .

The distributor is of no help -- doesn't even carry in stock the dark red color -- and being disappointed is to put it mildly .

DO you think the dark red would do a better job ?

I rarely use a chaulk line Roberto. Except when framing a deck and such.

I prefer my pencils and a straight edge.

I buy my Chaulk Line refills from Dicks Lumber. Some generic brand that works for me. Any time I buy a large refill I spill it.
